We finally manage to find the perfect candidate for our new Server Administrator position. We are please to welcome Stefano Vita who will bring with him 11 years of Administration experience to the team.
We were quite surprised to see how scarce Debian Server Administrator are on the market and received very few interesting profiles. We had actually just pledged on hireland.ie* (not yet published) to try to get more exposure on the position when Stefano contacted us. I guess we can get a "Hired" sticker on our pledge straight away !
This made us realised how valuable our open source expertise actually is, and that we probably should empasize more our skills and the different services available to our customers. So far Bid Right has been our main focus, but with Stefano on board we might be able to dedicate some resources to System Architecture design, High Availability hosting, Open Source Groupware solution to replace Microsoft Exchange/Lotus, etc. So if like us you are struggling to find qualified Linux Server Admins or System Architecture designers, do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to help you make your project a success.

* Hireland is a nice initiative supported by volunteers to encourage Irish businesses to pledge one or several positions and in doing so try to create a positive momentum for jobs creation in 2012. It also provides a free job posting/search board to get workers back into employment. We believe this is a great idea and we will try do our small part to support it.
Thanks to new customers and opportunities arising lately we are now able to hire a new Server Administrator. Do not hesitate to contact us if you fit the profile.

Following our call for a new employee we are delighted to announce that starting from the 12th of September we will have a new Business Development Manager : Neil Lawlor.
We are excited at the new opportunities that Neil will bring to Bid Right and to Personalized Software in general, to further develop our activities.
So welcome Neil.
Our development sprint is over and Bid Right 0.8.5 has been released today.
After months of testing this is the first version to feature our new Google Adword API integration.
We also upgraded the Adcenter API to v7 and integrated several more tracking/affiliation plateform that were used by our customers.
As usual, detailled release notes are available on Bid Right's website
We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to expand our activities. See the full job posting for more information. If you are interested in joining us please drop us a line.
Simultaneously with the release of the new www.bid-right.com website our team worked round the clock to polish the new Bid Right release version 0.8.3. As the version number doesn't imply this is a major improvement over previous Bid Right release, but version 0.8.5 was already taken by another development branch !
Redmine 1.2 was finally released, something we have been waiting for to complete our redmine setup. It includes private issue that will allow us to isolate customers without having to set up sub projects. If you are one of our customer you should have received an email with your logins to our ticketing system.
Now you can open tickets directly in our system (as before) but you can also consult all public tickets (for maintenaance or known issue that we are working on). This is the same for our Bid Right customers who can now consult the project roadmap and its advancement.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you haven't received your logins.
The Personalized Software Team
Our long overdue new website has been launch today. Being long bearded geeks we have always been very bad a communicating on the great work we have been doing. This website is our attempt to put more exposure on our projects.
We plan to publicly publish our wiki/redmine entries containing (hopefully) useful how tos, but also release as open source some satellite projects for which we have the rights to.
We also have lots of patches for projects that we are using that have been forwarded upstream, but we want to give more back to the community and avoid killing some great projects that might be of value to others.
We have been busy migrating to redmine from trac (big patches to follow) but once the final infrastructure will be up we will be able to release information much quicker to the public.
So enjoy the new website and please let us know if you find any broken link, or if you have ideas for improvements.
The Personalized Software team.
